Snowmen....
Another challenge onver on JB forum - to create 5 cards with snowmen on. Struggled a bit as I don't really do novelty cards so this is the best I could do!

I made this card with the template over on JB forum. It's a great template but I think the card came out a bit dark . I thought I would try a tri fold card as I don't usually make these, but I am not that keen on the shape really, I think I will stick to square cards. Still trying to use up those DCWV papers and I am still failing! The paper stack doesn't seem to be getting any smaller!
I found these little brads in my stash collection, I can't remember when or where I bought them but they are really good for threading ribbon through.
Might be back later for the Daring Cardmakers little extra!

This week I dare you to use a Word as the main focal point to your card. It can be a name, a greeting or just a word that inspires you. You can use other text but only one word as a main embellishment. So dig out your dictionaries, die cutters, alphabet stamps, rubons or download a funky font and show us what you can do!
I started this card for the little extra this week but never got it finished , so I have finished it with this dare in mind. I have included a big and little flower(for the little extra) and the word Friend for the dare. This card also fits the gingham challenge on the JB forum.
pp - various scraps, chipboard flower SA kit, chipboard letters Heidi Swapp,mm clip and ribbon from stash.
I am on a mission to use up the ridiculous amount of scraps I have saved over the past couple of years, so the patchwork cards are great for doing this. And as this card is for a special friend of my daughter I used up a few more and made a tag to tie on the gift bag of her present. In fact I think I will try and make a tag with each card from now on to use up all those little bits and pieces I just can't seem to throw away!!I don't seem to posting much at the moment, I have made lots of bits and pieces lately but I don't want to put them on here until I know that the people I made them for have received them!
Ok I really have to go tidy my craft room I cannot even find a space on the desk to work on!!

We want you to use something soft on your card feathers, velvet paper, fluffy fibres all that soft, strokable stuff counts for this one and that's it, easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy!
I hope that felt counts as something soft 'coz that's what I used! I have been trying to use up these papers but I am failing miserably, I still have tons of them.
This card doubles up for the 'stitched up' challenge on the JB forum.
pp DCWV Christmas stack, felt star cut with sizzix star and hand stitched, letraset rub ons and plenty of machine stitching.
