Christmas is coming...

Well maybe not quite yet, but I have been making some Christmas cards this week to donate to a Breast Cancer charity sale. Kathy asked if anyone would like donate a card or two So I got making a couple of card sets and some tags this week.

I have kept them simple but still managed to do a little bit of sewing on them, the biggest challenge was to make the boxes! So now my pizza box is full of cards and tags and a few single cards that I have made for various challenges in the past.

No time for any challenges this week and probably not next week either as I go on holiday next Saturday. I cannot wait to go out to our lovely place in the sun and just chill for a couple of weeks. No cooking or cleaning - Heaven!

Photos are a bit rubbish as I took them too late in the day!

Kazan's sketch

Kazan has come up with another fab sketch this week at 2 Sketches 4 You - so versatile. I made this little pink number with the sketch - all my favourite things on this one - buttons, chipboard, ribbon and of course pink! I have used mostly Love Elsie stuff for this card.

I wont be around for a few days as I am off to spend some time with my brother and sister.

4th of July...

A new challenge on Tag You're it blog today;

In celebration of this fine day we have decided to honour it in true US style - whatever the title conjures up in your mind, let yourself go and create a tag that befits the Fourth of July!

Sam and Anne have come up with some fab samples for this challenge, I decided to go with the stars and stripes theme for my tag. I have been experimenting using denim on a few projects at the moment - my girls buy loads of jeans so I thought I would try and recycle some of their old pairs! I quite like the effect of the stitched star and using denim strips as ribbon( you can easily fray it to give a slightly shabby look). I also used some Melissa Frances star paper and a few star eyelets - in red white and blue of course!

Enjoy your weekend!

Love Grows...

I made this card for my DH for our Anniversary next week - we have been married 19 years - I deserve a medal!!!! I used the fabby sketch on 2 Sketches 4 You, Laura has designed another great sketch this week.

I used up some scraps for this card but I am really pleased with it - I love red and green together (probably because I love making Christmas cards!!!) and this little heart stamp was such a bargain.

I also made a card for last weeks sketch but never got around to posting it - this card was made using one of Kazan's sketches.

Got to go tidy up my craft room now!
