WARNING - Sunglasses required....

I was sent some lovely Bella stamped images from a few of the girls on JB forum and this is my first attempt at using them. I'm not a fan of orange but I kinda like the way this card turned out - a bit funky and psychedelic.

The next few cards are much more my usual style - flowers and stitching! I have just bought a huge pile of Melissa Frances papers in the sale - I love anything by Melissa Frances and this blue paper is no exception. I made 2 cards today with it and the green one as well(not MF paper - but still in the sale)

Enough of my waffle for today,

A Valentine's card...

Michelle has a little challenge going over on her blog to make a valentine card using only red, black and white. Here is my attempt - A friend asked if I would make her a card for her boyfriend. They have been together for 1 year and she wanted that on the card somewhere so I added it to the hearts. Photos are a bit pants as it is so dark here every day at the moment.
There are so many wonderful challenges about at the moment but I don't seem to have time to join in. Hopefully at the weekend I can make a few cards.

Ribbons galore..

I made this mini book for a challenge on JB forum to use ribbon - lots of it! Well I just love ribbon, I put it on almost all my cards(except the males ones!).

This little book is for my daughter Leah, it contains lots of photos of her with her friends bowling. I used ribbon as tabs on each page and then I made all her friends a little tag each so they could write a little message on them, these are stored in the back of the book.

Tempting Template....

Over on the JB forum Sue has set a challenge using one of her fab templates. I made this quick card using it.
Please spare a thought for poor Sue - she has just spent 3 (yes 3!) weeks in Florida having the time of her life, she has shopped til she dropped, eaten in numerous restaurants and returned to the UK with her suitcases laden with designer goodies and gorgeous stash only to be greeted with rain and cold weather - POOR LAMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She is really fabby though coz she sent me a truly gorgeous card in the post today with some bella stamped images inside!- She even embossed them so that I don't colour over the lines!!! Thanks Sue.

New to me...

The DCM challenge this week is to use something crafty you got for Christmas.

We want to see your Crafty Christmas Presents ! Make a card using a new toy you had for Christmas, or in fact any crafty goodies that you received. Its a great chance to try out all your new toys/papers/embellishments! We'd love to see what crafty presents Santa dropped into your stocking.

Well I got lots of crafty pressies for Christmas including some American Crafts Thickers foam letters. So I made this for my Step Son who will be 21 next month.

Sorry the photos are a bit pants!!! I used plenty of sizzix die cut stars and doodling as well.

Scrappy New Year!!!!!!

Over on the Scrummy Stash cafe blog a fabby challenge has been set to use up your scraps. Well I have huge amounts of scraps, I just can't seem to throw any away! Not just paper and card scraps but ribbon, felt, material, thread etc.
Today's challenge has been set by Karen. It's quite simple.... use up your scraps! We all have stacks of them lying around so dig them out and start creating.

This is what I came up with;

I used some of my very precious Love Elsie paper scraps, a scrap of felt to make the flower and ribbon scraps, I was surprised at how well the rub ons went onto ribbon, I think I will defo be trying that again.

I got inspiration for the ribbon on this card from somewhere but I cannot remember where, that's the problem with blog hopping, I see so much inspiration I forget where it came from!!!
This card is for my daughter who will be 14 in a few weeks. I hope she likes it.

Runner up of Papercrafter of the year!

I've had another piece of good news, I am a runner up in Papercraft Essentials Papercrafter of the year. I have just bought the magazine and my altered item is in print!! I altered a metal pail from a florists to make a Christmas pressie. I filled it with a little altered notepad, pen and pencil.
The next 2 cards were my other entries( you had to send in 2 cards and one altered project).

I have the biggest smile on my face!!
