Diamond are a girls best friend....

What a fantastic challenge Anne has set on Tag You're It this week "diamonds are a girl's best friend" interpret how you like but please include the bling!
I have used this lovely stamp which I bought from a forum friend and then forgot I had - but I think it works really well for this challenge. The diamonte buckle came with some making memories ribbon, and then I just added some bling to the image. Black ribbon from Poppicrafts.

we have another fabulous prize giveaway this week from Scrapz, so definitely worth getting your bling out for this challenge ladies.

No cards to show today, I haven't had much spare time this week to make anything.

enjoy your weekend,

Better late than never!

What a rubbish team mate I am - I was late making my tag for the challenge this week on Tag You're it!, mainly due to the toothache which I still have, been to the dentist and he says I have no decay so it might be an infection. Well anyway it still hurts like hell. So here is my tag for this weeks challenge set by the lovely Dawn which is swirls and circles;

A bit pink me thinks - but never mind. ( poor quality photo due to a dark day here)

I haven't done a lot of crafting this week as I don't think I mentioned that I have TOOTHACHE, so I will share a few photos of recent stuff made for Michelle at Poppicrafts;

A little Mother's day card made using gorgeous Fancy Pants felt, FP pin, blooms to go and these lovely little spacers which I have never used before but I really like them.(all from Poppicrafts)

More felt on this card and my most favourite epoxy brads by Imaginisce and Fancy Pants Key Lime papers.

This cute card was made using the bargainous button selections that Michelle stocks , lovely bright selection of colours(and can you believe only 59p for 25 buttons!) and teamed with grosgrain ribbon;

And lastly these cute little Easter buckets (I love altering these ) one each for Michelle's little ones. I have used doodlebug papers and stickers finished off with assorted 5mm grosgrain ribbons and more gorgeous imaginisce epoxy brads;

That's all folks!

I Need Sympathy..

I have toothache! Nooooooooo!! I think I may have to visit the dreaded dentist as it's not settling down, and I am not due for my check up for another month. No amount of paracetamol is helping, and I think it's getting more painful as the days go by.

Enough moaning! I have a few cards to share that I made for Poppicrafts recently, Michelle has some gorgeous ribbon packs on offer at the moment, and I particularly love the spotty ribbon!
I have also used the lovely crochet flowers,blooms to go and large fabric brads for this card.
I've been using my swiss dots embossing folder quite a bit lately, it does use up lots of scraps and I like the simplicity of the white card too. Here's another card using the swiss dots;

I have had this stamp set a long while now and never inked it up before, but I thought the sentiment was perfect for these pretty blooms, I have used an assortment of small blooms with some seriously lovely buttons (I have a fetish for buttons!) all from Poppicrafts too.
This last card is my favourite, I love using fabric on my cards and gingham is one of my favourites.

I stuffed the heart a little bit to make it more tactile . Heart buttons and 5mm grosgrain ribbon were also from Poppicrafts.

I have a few more bits to share but I will show them tomorrow. Well toothache permitting that is!

Valentine's tags....

This week the Tag You're It! challenge is Love and Romance - well with it being Valentine's day tomorrow what other theme could there be? However you don't have to make a Valentines tag - any interpretation of love and romance is allowed.
This week we have a fantastic giveaway donated by Sugar Nellies stamps - we have 3 of their fabulous stamps for one tagger who will be chosen at random next Friday.
So in celebration of this the design team have used Sugar Nellie stamps for their tag this week, I have in fact made two tags using the wonderful Leanne Ellis stamps;

I think I overdone the pearls on this one a bit!

And this has to be my favourite stamp;

I have to admit to not really being a stamper - I use stamps for sentiments but rarely use images, but there was something very therapeutic about colouring these images, I am a complete beginner with the colouring in thing - I didn't know what materials I should use so I had to experiment quite a bit first. I tried Marvy le plume pens - which I have to say were a bit rubbish actually I thought they were just like kids felt tips! So I abandoned those and used Letraset Promarkers (luckily I won some of these a few years ago and have hardly ever used them but they worked really well) and I just used the tiniest amount of watercolour for the faces.

Why not join in with the challenge this week - it's a fab prize and someone's gotta win it!
I look forward to seeing all your tags!

Let's mix it up - Basic Grey Challenge...

I have been meaning to join in with this challenge blog for such a long time, but never seem to have enough crafting hours to participate. This week though I decided that I would make time and as I needed one of the dreaded 'man cards' I thought I would used this challenge for it.

As the title suggests you have to use more than one range from Basic Grey on your card. No problem - granola and archaic papers and the green brads on the corners are from the Wassail range. Ooh and I have just realised that the word 'Happy' was made using Phoebe stickers.
I found these really old letter tiles in my stash rubbish box - I throw bits and pieces in the box and then have a good sort out every now and again - I quite like them on this card.
And here is a card made using up more of my very old papers, this one is for a challenge on JB forum to use green and pink. As you can see I am still ploughing through my button collection trying to use some of them up.

A sketch...

That's the challenge this week set by our lovely Kath for Tag You're it! As I am still on a mission to use up all my scraps I made this quick little tag with some Fancy Pants splendid papers - this is my favourite set of papers at the moment, lovely bright colours and gorgeous hearts.

Here is the sketch;

And here is my tag;

FP papers, tiny buttons, ric rac and ribbons all from Poppicrafts.

As you can see I am not the worlds best doodler! I think it's time to rethread my sewing machine!

Have a great weekend,

How many buttons????

So what do you do when it's cold and snowy outside? You stay in and craft, craft craft! The stash ban is still on here - I think it's week 6 now - and I am starting to struggle a bit now. So I have decided to go right to the bottom of my stash pile and see what I can use up. I found some really old Crate papers - Avenue? collection I think, and made 2 cards with what I had left. I still really like this collection although I am sure they don't make it now.

I also used up quite a few buttons for these cards too.

And lastly a little note card using up a few scraps for a challenge on JB forum.

More snow forecast for tonight, so wrap up warm tonight!

2 Sketches 4 You...

The sketch this week is wonderful over at 2 Sketches 4 You. I had a little bit of time to join in this week as we have had so much snow here that I had some time off work, which meant staying in and wrapping up warm and crafting to my hearts content!

I have again used BG Urban Prairie paper - I don't have much of this pad left now, I have loved every sheet so far.

More of my favourite ribbon, FP felt and a cute little flower button (all from Poppicrafts) to finish it off.

I'll be back tomorrow with a couple more cards to show you.
Stay warm!
Love Sarah x x
